Really, what’s not to like about the ELF? A “a solar charged and pedal powered, electric assist tricycle with zero emissions” that was designed by a Porsche engineer from California turned human-powered vehicle fanatic. Imagine a cityscape where we all went to work, got groceries, visited friends and went out at night using vehicles like this. How quiet our neighbourhoods would be, how clean the air would be, how safe the roads would be. It’s a post-Portlandia utopia and the technology exists. It’s up to us to make the choice.
