The Simpsons writers are clearly all kids at heart and never have forgotten the slings and arrows that go along with childhood, like when all the bullies are riding big boy bikes and you’re still more impressed with imitation motor sounds. Life lesson—don’t ever become a big boy bike rider.
Fortunately, like any Simpsons episode, it isn’t serious for long and a string of non-bike-related jokes finishes off this opening segment.
