Mountain bike videos these days are mostly about going big. I like those that go beautiful as well. This is no The Ridge but, from the meditative music to the incredible drone shots, it’s pretty beautiful to watch in its own right.
Not to say The Ridgeline isn’t about going big. In some respects this video is all about HUGE air. Gee Atherton knows a thing or two about going big but even he says “I’ve always wanted to film here, it’s so incredibly exposed and totally unique but it’s not a fun place to ride, its terrifying!” It’s an awesome bit of riding. But the reason you can watch it over and over is that it’s also an awesome bit of filmmaking.
