I want to like Volle Band, I really do. The idea of motion-generated audio performed by riding bicycles is an awesome one in my eyes. But—I don’t know about you, but I’ve never much been a fan of ambient noise music and I can’t think of any other genre to describe Volle Band. The highlight for me is when the train goes by because at least it provides an element of rhythm. If Volle Band were more melodic, or more percussive, I think I’d love them. But as it is, I think I’d skip their next jam session.
This is Volle Band at its most raw. This performance of Clutching Voices is certainly more artistic but, sorry, still sounds a lot like one of their jam sessions.
