It’s been a long time since I posted anything to VeloVID and I’m not trying to make up for lost time with a long video. I kind of favour shorter vids here on the site, but this one is a gem and well worth putting aside some time time to take in.
After Lachlan Morton’s comments about liking himself more when he’s not racing, I noticed a rash of stories in the cycling press—Bradley Wiggins lamenting how he treated Chris Froome, a young Italian racer quitting in his prime to join the family pottery business—that made me wonder how soul destroying professional cycling might actually be. I don’t think we need to worry about Lachlan though, he’s clearly got his priorities worked out and his story earns him new fans with every telling.
